Rental conditions for the free camera rental (Insta360 X5)

1. Type of agreement

The provision of the camera constitutes a free loan in accordance with Sections 598 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB). No rental fee or charge is demanded – only a deposit is required as security .

2. Lender

3. Loan item

The following equipment will be provided to the borrower for an agreed period:

  • Insta360 X5 camera

  • Suction cup mount for vehicle installation

  • Memory card (256 GB)

  • 1 battery + charger

  • Transport box

  • USB-C cable

  • Protective case for camera

4. Deposit / Security Deposit

As security, the lender requires a deposit of €650 in advance.
The deposit will be fully refunded, provided that:

  • The camera is returned complete, undamaged and fully functional.

  • The return shipment will be made within the deadline.

  • No damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

In case of damage, loss or incomplete return, the lender reserves the right to retain all or part of the deposit.

5. Terms of Use

The camera may:

  • can be used for private or creative purposes (e.g. social media),

  • can be used for vehicle shots (e.g., exterior shots with the mount).

It is mandatory to record driving footage with your own vehicle and to leave it on the memory card.
These recordings will be used for social media or marketing purposes. Private content will not be used or shared.

6. Loan duration

The loan period begins when the package arrives at the borrower's address.
The return shipment must take place no later than the last day of the rental period (3rd day).

In case of late return, compensation for the value or a deduction of the deposit may be claimed.

7. Return

The camera must be returned complete, properly packaged, and using the enclosed return label.
No parts may be missing or damaged through improper use.

8. Liability

The borrower is liable for:

  • Loss, gross damage or willful tampering

  • Damage caused by improper fastening or use

Normal signs of wear and tear are not a problem.

9. Data protection & rights to content

Personal data (name, address, email) will only be stored for the purpose of processing the loan.
The vehicle photos you have taken may be used for social media and advertising purposes.
Private content will neither be evaluated nor published.

10. Final Provisions

German law applies.
The place of jurisdiction is the place of business of the lender.
Should any provision of the contract be invalid, the remainder of the contract shall remain valid.
